Corrections log

Every factual change we have made to a published article, with the date, the old line, the new line and the reason. The Chinese edition has the same log under corrections; cross-language fixes are logged in both.

2026 corrections

2026-05-19 · Binance USDT withdrawal fee description

Page: USDT vs USDC, the 2026 report

Old: "Binance USDT withdrawals are free on the BNB Chain network."

New: "Binance USDT withdrawals on the BNB Chain network are free only within the monthly VIP allowance; once exhausted the network fee applies. The general retail allowance reset cycle is roughly a calendar month."

Reason: The original line was a hangover from an older fee schedule. Confirmed against Binance fee page on 2026-05-19. Fact-checked by Heng Zhou.

2026-05-17 · Tether 2026 Q1 reserve composition figure

Page: USDT vs USDC, the 2026 report · "Reserve mix" table

Old: "Cash and equivalents 82.7%."

New: "Cash and equivalents 84.1%."

Reason: A reader pointed us to the latest BDO attestation. The 82.7 figure was from the previous quarter. Source: Tether Transparency, attestation dated 2026-04-30.

2026-05-15 · MiCA delisting timing on EU exchanges

Page: What is a stablecoin, in ten minutes

Old: "USDT was delisted across all EU exchanges in June 2024."

New: "Several EU-licensed venues began phasing USDT spot pairs out after MiCA fully entered into force in June 2024, but the broader EU delisting wave concluded in early 2026 as the transition window closed."

Reason: The original sentence overstated speed. MiCA had a transition window; full removal was not a single event. Verified against ESMA public statements and the Kraken / Binance EU communications timeline.

2026-05-12 · USDC SVB depeg low

Page: FAQ for new holders · Question 7

Old: "USDC fell to about 0.85 dollars during the SVB weekend."

New: "USDC fell to 0.8774 on Coinbase on 2023-03-11; briefly traded below 0.82 inside specific Curve pools but those quotes were not the headline reference price."

Reason: Reader email flagged that the round number was sloppy. We pulled the Coinbase ticker history and the Curve 3pool snapshot to get the actual figures.
